Radiohead is a very famous alternative rock band (English) which is from Oxford shire. The members are Thom Yorke who is on the lead vocals, the piano, the rhythm guitar and beats, Jonny Greenwood on the lead guitar, the keyboards and other instruments too, Ed O’Brien on the guitar and the back up vocals, Colin Greenwood on the bass guitar and the keyboards and finally Phil Selway on the drums and the percussion.

Their first single was called “Creep” and it was released in the early 1992. Although initially when it was released it did not attain much success but after a few months it became a hit after this band released their debut album which was called Pablo Honey. After they released their second studio album which was called the Bends in 1995 their popularity started rising by an alarming rate in the UK.

Now they went international when they released album number three which was called OK Computer in 1997. This album was literally like a landmark for this band. The next albums which were called Kid A which was released in 2000 and Amnesiac which came out in 2001 made a mark for an evolution in the musical journey of this band.

They started experimenting their style to a certain extent in these albums. They used influences from electronic music, post punk, jazz and even Krautrock. Now critics had divided opinions on these two albums, on the experimentation.

But the band still held strong and they were still quite popular. Then they released the final album which was called Hail to thief, this was the last major album which was released by the band. This came out in 2003 and has mixes of rock, driven by guitars, lyrics which got an inspiration from headlines and electronics.

Now this band was basically formed when the boys were in school. There Thom and Colin were in the same year, Ed and Phil were one year higher and Jonny was two years below his brother.

Now the band they had first formed was named on Friday. After the band had gotten a deal with EMI records, the record label had asked them to change their name and hence Radiohead was formed as we know it now. Now over the years the band has managed to win three Grammys, an MTV music video award, 3 Q awards and a Plug award.
